My favourite sunscreen

As I promised on Monday here is a review of a product that everyone should have in their skin care routine – SUNSCREEN. Your probably thinking that you don’t need to wear sunscreen as we are coming into winter but you do. We are hit by the sun’s harmful rays every day! Sunscreen is the most important part of your skin care routine.  You can use the most expensive anti-ageing products on your skin to prevent wrinkles but if you are not wearing sunscreen then you are just wasting your money. It’s a known fact that 90% of the signs of ageing including wrinkles and age spots are caused by the sun. This is why it is so important to wear sunscreen on a daily basis, 365 days a year. Sunscreen acts as a barrier which prevents the harmful UVA & UVB rays from directly hitting your skin, therefore if you are wearing sunscreen daily you can rest assure that you are winning in the fight against wrinkles! I’m back!

October 3, 2011

Howdy folks!

First off, apologies for my six month absence from the blog.  I’ve had a pretty hectic schedule the past while and my blog took a back seat unfortunately.  The good news though is that I’m back and plan to have a new review up this week.  Hope everyone is well and thanks for reading!

John 🙂

PS – I got two little friends recently.  They’re awesome!

Alice & Dexter

This little beauty first came to my attention a few months ago and I fell in love with it immediately!  It’s the ELF Studio Complexion Brush.  It is the bargain price of £3.50 which is amazing for the quality you are getting with this brush!  ELF Cosmetics have really made a name for themselves over the past few years. They have become known for creating high quality products at low-cost prices.  I purchased this brush based on the positive reviews I’d read on various blogs. Like them I feel this brush is amazing!

It’s a synthetic haired Taklon brush and its so, so soft!  The great thing about it is that it’s a multi-purpose brush.  Elf say that it can be used with pressed, loose, or translucent powders, blush or bronzer.  I have only used it to apply translucent powder and bronzer so I can’t comment on how well it fares it with pressed powders, but judging by how amazing it is at applying bronzer with I would say that it is just as good.

What I love about this brush is that not only can you use it to apply bronzer generally but it can also be used to contour the face as well.  I didn’t expect this feature from this brush, and it isn’t quite as good as using a brush that is specifically designed to contour the face, but it is still excellent, especially at defining the cheekbones, which is what I tend to use it for.  In the months that I have used it I have also noticed no shedding whatsoever which you’ll be glad to know!

Overall the ELF Studio Complexion Brush is a great brush, especially if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a higher end brush.  I highly recommend it.

You can buy it online from Elf for £3.50.

I hope this review has been of help and all comments and feedback are greatly appreciated. Got a question?  Get in touch..I love to talk!

Hey guys well I thought I would kickstart my blog with reviews on my three Holy Grail (HG) skin care products that I feel should be apart of everyone’s daily skin care routine, especially if you are concerned about getting older and want to try and slow down the ageing process.  Used together, these three products will help keep you looking younger, which is what everybody wants isn’t it?!  I’ve been using these products over the past few months so I’m able to give you the ‘lowdown’ on what I think about them!  First off we have the Vitamin C Vitality Facial Serum by Avalon Organics. Hello from me.

April 3, 2011

Hey folks I thought I would start my blog with a wee introduction to me and what I want to achieve.  OK let’s go…My name’s John and I’m a twenty-four year old guy from Belfast, Northern Ireland.  I graduated back in 2009 with a degree in Film Studies and I’m currently working as a Lab Technician in a Photo Laboratory.

Aside from my studies and job I am incredibly passionate about the cosmetics industry and basically love my products!!  I started taking care of my skin in my early teens when the dreaded spots started to appear.  It wasn’t until my late teens that my real passion for products came about.
