Hi folks,

Well I thought it was about time I put a new post up as its been over a year since my last one. I am sorry! Life got the better of me I guess! My interest in beauty has not decreased thankfully, in fact it’s probably higher than ever hehe! Even though I’ve been incredibly lazy over the past year with my lack of posts my blog has been increasing in hits month by month. Last month I had over 1000 hits which was more than double the views of January 2011. I am shocked by the figures as I haven’t updated this in over a year but I’m not going to complain!

Anyways onwards with my update on the results of the three Dermaroller treatments that I had between late 2011 and early 2012. I’ve received a few emails over the past few months asking me to share my thoughts on the results so I thought it was about time that I did that. Read the rest of this entry »

To start with I’m using the WordPress app on my iPhone to write this post so I hope it turns out ok! I thought I’d test it out!

Now I don’t know about you but my skin seems to have a mind of its own at the minute with the cold winter month’s drawing in. One day it will be dry and then shiny the next. I can’t keep up! Luckily we have products out there that can help our skin!

Acid based cleansers tend to dry out the skin more than ‘regular’ cleansers so I’ve found that only using them at night has helped my skin stay soft and not have that horrible tight feeling that is so common amongst people at this time of the year. It all depends on your skin though. You know what works best for you!

When I was in my late teens I developed acne on my forehead that literally appeared out of the blue!  Up until that point I had broken out on occasion on my chin but nothing could have prepared me for the onslaught of acne that appeared over the next few years.  Thankfully the spots went after a few years of breakout cycles that made me get so down that I didn’t want to go outside half the time and face the world.  Acne really does affect you not only on the outside, but on the inside too, emotionally.

This review marks the end of my ‘Holy Grail’ skin care trilogy set of reviews.  My previous two reviews were the Avalon Organics Vitamin C serum and Retin A 0.05% gel.  They can be found here and here.  I wanted to start my blog with these reviews because I feel that these skin care products are a great benefit to have in a skin care routine, especially if you are serious about skin care and anti-aging.  I’ve also found that by following these three simple steps my skin has improved dramatically over the past number of months.  I just want to share my experience and knowledge of these products with other people because of the great results I have had with using them.
